I tried playing the game, it is not even hard or difficult, just broken. The creature in the Backrooms don’t even need to hear you make a move (walking or sprinting), it will just come to you no matter what you do (hide or not). There is no sense of detection for the creature, it can literally see you through walls, at some points it even spawn camped me more than a dozen times, I tried to give this game a ton of chances but it always ends with the same result. It is broken.
The game is not broken, it was supposed to be like that. The monster was supposed to be difficult to defeat and the idea was that you had to learn its unusual behavior. Also remember that this is only a prototype, a game that I have not finished and I will probably not return to it. The monster is not fully balanced, so some values may be exaggerated. But for your convenience, I can give you its behavior:
- The monster will hear you from a long distance when you are running, so it is generally best to walk instead of run.
- When you tear off the note, the monster runs to the place where the note was, so you need to get away from there as quickly as possible.
- The monster is blind and can't see you from a distance, you have to be very close for it to feel your presence (from what I remember).
quite difficult since the hound hears literally everything. hopefully when more of the game comes out, the hound won't be so cunning with great hearing capabilities. the cracked lens film makes it really difficult to see and understand your surroundings, therefore adding to the difficulty in an unfair way. The backrooms hound is a total Sonic the Hedgehog that is faster than your running speed. Very, very annoying and unfair.

This is a good backroom style game. You have to collect 5 pages to escape this place and the monster can hear if you pick up a page. The monster got me quite a few times but i managed to find all 5 pages. Great work making this game.
Hello! I played your game on stream the other day and made a vid! Was pretty fun, and hard. I managed to get 4/5 pages but never got to the mystical 5 lol. I loved the effects and the audio was on point, hope you make more games like this! Looking forward to the updates for this prototype!
I thought it was terrifying and i loved the camera filter and effects! Grabbing all the pages was a challenge and the combination of backrooms and slenderman gameplay was a great idea! The monster scared the crap out of me too!
I loved the whole aesthetic! It took me probably way too long to figure out the sound thing and I never beat it, but dang, it was good! (playthrough of this game starts at 11:37)
